The Power of the Virgin Birth: God's Miraculous Method
INTRODUCTION: When God Does the Impossible
We live in a generation that demands EXPLANATION. If it can’t be PROVEN, REPEATED, or LOGICALLY EXPLAINED, it’s often DISMISSED as MYTH. Yet Christianity does not begin with what MAN can EXPLAIN, it begins with what GOD ALONE can DO.
At the very CENTER of our FAITH stands a MIRACLE that DEFIES NATURE, CHALLENGES REASON and DECLARES HEAVEN’S POWER: The VIRGIN BIRTH of Jesus Christ.
· REMOVE IT, and JESUS becomes only a MAN.
· REJECT IT, and SALVATION loses its FOUNDATION.
The VIRGIN BIRTH is God’s DECLARATION that SALVATION would come HIS WAY, not OURS. This is how GOD WITH US entered the world.

3-SIGNS OF THE PERFECTION OF THE VIRGIN BIRTH
I. THE PURITY OF THE METHOD
a. A VIRGIN CONCEIVED, ensuring a SINLESS SAVIOR.
1. Luke 1:27 “To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the
virgin's name was Mary.”
ii. God deliberately chose a VIRGIN to bring His Son into the world, making it clear from the very
beginning that this birth would be UNLIKE any other birth in human history.
iii. SALVATION would not come through HUMAN MEANS, but through DIVINE INTERVENTION.
II. THE PRESENCE OF THE SPIRIT
a. Mary asked an HONEST QUESTION, not in UNBELIEF, but in HUMILITY:
i. Mary’s QUESTION was not REBELLION, it was REVERENCE.
1. Luke 1:34 “How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?”
ii. She did not DOUBT that God COULD do it; she simply asked HOW.
iii. FAITH is not the ABSENCE of QUESTIONS, but the PRESENCE of TRUST.
III. THE PROOF OF THE MESSIAH
a. Fulfilled prophecy confirms Jesus is the Christ and the Gospel of Matthew makes it unmistakably clear that
the VIRGIN BIRTH fulfilled PROPHECY:
i. Matthew 1:22–23 “Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the
prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call
his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
