Introduction: The disciples had seen the empty tomb—but they were still hiding behind locked doors. It is

possible to know the resurrection and still live in fear.

Point 1: Jesus Meets Us in Our Fear

● John 20:19

Greek: phobos (φόβος) = fear, dread

Explanation:

Jesus doesn’t wait for you to overcome fear—He enters into it.

Scripture:

● Isaiah 41:10

● Psalm 34:4

Application: Stop hiding what Jesus is willing to heal.

Point 2: The Gift of Peace

● John 20:21

● Greek: eirēnē (εἰρήνη) = wholeness, harmony, rest

Explanation: Peace is not the absence of problems, it is the presence of Christ.

Scripture:

● Philippians 4:7

● Isaiah 26:3

Quote: “Peace is not found in the absence of trouble, but in the

presence of God.” — Charles Spurgeon

Point 3: From Doubt to Declaration

● Thomas’ transformation

Explanation: Jesus is not intimidated by honest doubt, but He calls us beyond it.

Application: Bring your questions to Christ, but don’t stay there.

Conclusion: Open the door. Let Jesus step into your fear and speak peace.
