VISION: We exist to Lead people to Christ by showing the Love of Jesus.

MISSION: Mission: Loving God. Loving Others. Loving Joy.

SCRIPTURE: Romans 15:13 “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

INTRODUCTION: “The Joy Gauge”

Imagine your car’s dashboard: speedometer, fuel, temperature—lots of gauges. But there’s no “joy gauge.” Many believers drive through life checking performance and pressure yet ignoring the one thing that keeps the engine from seizing: joy. You can have a full schedule and an empty soul. Today, let’s ask the Holy Ghost to light up the “joy gauge,” because a church that leads with love must also leak with joy.

Series Tie-In — Vision & Mission

Vision: Lead people to Christ by showing the Love of Jesus.

Mission in Motion: We’ve looked at Loving God (our devotion), Loving Others (our disposition), and today Loving Joy (our demonstration). Love is the river; joy is the current that moves people toward Christ.

3-FACTS ABOUT LOVING JOY

1. JOY COMES FROM GOD’S LOVE

a. True joy is found in our relationship with Christ. Love births joy.

i. Psalm 16:11 “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are

pleasures for evermore.”

ii. Nehemiah 8:10 “…for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

b.  Joy is not a mood you manufacture; it is a miracle you receive.

2. LOVING JOY MEANS LOVING THE CHURCH

a. We find joy in belonging to a community that lives out God’s love.

i. Psalm 122:1 “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.”

ii. Acts 2:46 “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to

house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,”

b. Biblical joy flourishes in togetherness.

3. LEAD WITH JOYFUL PURPOSE

a. Our joy should inspire how we serve, witness, and lead.

i. Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”

ii. 1 Thessalonians 5:16 “Rejoice evermore.”

b.  Joy is more than a feeling; it’s fuel for faithful leadership.
